By using Wild Echo ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
The Service
Wild Echo provides AI-powered acoustic species identification and biosecurity monitoring. Results are provided for informational purposes. Wild Echo is a decision-support tool, always confirm critical biosecurity findings with qualified professionals.
Accuracy disclaimer
Our AI models are trained on validated datasets and achieve high accuracy across tested species. However, no automated detection system is 100% accurate. Wild Echo does not guarantee the identification of every species or the detection of every invasive threat. Do not rely solely on Wild Echo for regulatory compliance.
Acceptable use
- You must be 18 or older to create an account
- You may not use the Service for illegal purposes
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models
- You may not use the Service, its API, or its outputs to train, fine-tune, distil, or create derivative machine learning models
- You may not systematically query the API to extract model behaviour, training data, or classification patterns
- You may not resell or redistribute Wild Echo analysis results without express written permission
- You may not upload audio that contains personal conversations without consent
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans are billed monthly. Cancel anytime, you retain access until the end of your billing period. No refunds for partial months. Prices may change with 30 days notice.
Data and intellectual property
You retain ownership of audio recordings you upload. By uploading, you grant Wild Echo a licence to process the audio for species identification and to contribute anonymised, aggregated biodiversity data to partner databases (ALA, eBird). You can opt out of data contribution in your account settings.
Limitation of liability
Vanda Projects Melbourne Pty Ltd (ABN 29 604 461 154), trading as Wild Echo, is not liable for losses arising from missed detections, false positives, or decisions made based on Wild Echo reports. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
